Arizona Educators,
Preliminary A-F Accountability component data from the 2020-2021 school year is now available through ADEConnect. HB-2402 prohibits ADE from issuing letter grades, and therefore there is no calculation of total points for any school.
The data can be found in the Accountability application on ADEConnect. There is a slight change in the platform with the release of this data. Once in the Accountability application, click on the “Accountability: State & Federal Profile” link to review your school’s or district’s data. This link has replaced the “A-F Letter Grades” that you are used to seeing. All schools were assigned a “P”, as in the past, for the first release of data. The “P” will not be replaced with a letter grade when final data is pushed out later this fall.
The assessment team has made a toolkit available for LEAs to help communicate and digest results from this year.
The LEA Toolkit includes:
Assessment PowerPoint
District contextualization document
Strategic imperatives
One pager on why testing is different
Website language
FAQs
Letter to educators
Key messages
These resources are posted on ADE's Assessments website: https://www.azed.gov/assessment under the "LEA Assessment Results Toolkit 2021" heading, which can also be accessed through the button below. Please share this information with your Assessment and Data Directors as well as with your Superintendent.
Please check the data, and should you have any questions, feel free to email [email protected]. We will be happy to assist in understanding the data. The data in this release is for state accountability only. Data concerning federal accountability will be forthcoming.
