The national Arts ARE Education campaign is kicking off the new school year and Arts in Education Week on September 12th at 2 p.m. MST, with Arts Education for All Students in 2022-2023, a virtual Town Hall for educators, students, school leaders, policymakers, service organizations, and arts education advocates!
The Virtual Town Hall will feature opening remarks from Karissa Niehoff, Executive Director, and James Weaver, Director of Performing Arts & Sports, of the National Federation of State High School Associations. This will be followed by a round-robin dialogue with L. Earl Franks, Executive Director of the National Association of Elementary School Principals, M Kutty, a recent graduate of St. Andrews School, and Tooshar Swain, Director of Public Policy at Americans for the Arts. The event will continue with 40-minute breakout sessions and shareouts to discuss issues, concerns, and outlook for K-12 arts education.
