Marana Middle School– ECAP Spotlight School
Marana Middle School, located in Pima County just outside of Tucson, serves roughly 1050 students in the Marana Unified School District. Middle school is a bridge between elementary and high school and MMS seeks to make the most of the two years that we have our students by providing innovative opportunities for students to explore and identify personal and academic strengths.

- EPIC Build showcase
- School event to promote the benefit and necessity of teaching coding to future generations of students, as well as to display the work currently being done by our students.
- ECAP lessons embedded into curriculum
- One-hour class for students to complete career exploration activities.
- High School CTE Field trip for 8th graders
- Provides students the opportunity to see and experience the Career and Technical Programs offered by the high school.
Marana Middle School makes a conscious effort through the actions of all campus staff to maintain ongoing conversations with students regarding the college and career choices they will begin to make in the following years. MMS provides opportunities for students to participate and explore their future options. Some of the opportunities offered include: WEB elective courses, GEM courses, an 8th grade trip to Washington D.C., Epic Build Showcase, and integration of coding into core classes.
