Final Distance Learning Reports
Districts and charters must report the percentage of instruction that is distance learning for two separate periods this year: once for the first forty days, which was submitted in November, and once for the entire school year, which must be submitted after the last day of instruction for all LEAs and by May 17, 2021 for any LEAs that would like to have the distance learning adjustment updated before the June 1st, 2021 payment. Distance Learning reports submitted after May 17, 2021, but before June 16, 2021, will be used to update distance learning adjustments before the June 30th payment. Distance learning reports submitted after June 16, 2021 will be used to update distance learning adjustments before the statewide recalculation in July.

The updated report file should be uploaded for FY 2021 via the Common Logon application - School Finance File Upload (Budget/AFR). The FY 2021 file type is "Distance Learning Report - Actual". Please submit a request via HelpDesk if you require technical assistance and/or do not have access to the Common Logon application.
Executive Orders 2020-41, 2020-44 and 2020-51 authorize distance learning for the 2020-21 school year and specify that pupils, while participating in distance learning, shall be treated as pupils participating in Arizona Online Instruction for funding purposes. Since students are reported as non-AOI students while participating in distance learning, school districts and charters are required to report the percentage of scheduled instructional time that is distance learning for these students.
