Join ADE with our partners at Street Law for this highly engaging and interactive webinar which focuses on ways to breathe life into teaching landmark Supreme Court Cases. In this 3 hour session we will be focusing on two civil liberties cases- Mapp v. Ohio and Gideon v. Wainright.
Learning Goals for this session include:
Becoming familiar with the Mapp v. Ohio and Gideon v. Wainright Supreme Court cases
Using classroom-ready inquiry based, primary source activities to teach about these two cases
Examining the Library of Congress Teaching with Primary Sources resources and webpage
Exploring the newly updated Landmarkcases.org and other Street Law Resources
The Zoom link will be sent out to all registrants. There is no cost for the training but we ask that you cancel your registration if you have a conflict and cannot attend so we can open it up to other educators. Each participant will receive 3 hours of PD credit for attending the training. We will be mailing out the materials. Please make sure to register with your summer contact information.
