Using Discovery Education to Foster Inquiry in the Social Studies Classroom

When developing inquiry-based learning experiences for students, teachers must also manage the delicate balance between facilitating the learning and providing more direct guidance. During this session, we will share instructional strategies to incorporate inquiry and primary source documents in the social studies classroom. We will share ways to encourage and tap into students’ natural curiosity to help them understand the world around them.

Arizona teachers have free access to Discovery Education until 2024. Please contact Toni Robinson at [email protected] for access and information.
