Qualified Evaluator Training
The Arizona Department of Education has developed an exciting FREE professional learning opportunity for Assistant Principals, Deans of Students, TOAs/TOSAs, Principals, and others charged with the responsibility of observing and evaluating teachers.
The 2-day, in-person Qualified Evaluator Training (QET) is designed to provide tools, strategies, and resources to assist with supporting teacher practice in the evaluation process.
The QET is the complete package for aspiring, new, and veteran principals, assistant principals, coaches, mentors, and other instructional leaders seeking to elevate their coaching and leadership skills while meeting the criteria for being a qualified evaluator.
Completers of the Qualified Evaluator Training (QET) will meet the criteria stated in ARS §15-537(F) for qualified evaluators.
The Principals’ Academy is currently in development to move to two separate trainings: a stand-alone Qualified Evaluator Training (QET) which will be a 3-day training and additional Principal Leadership Trainings. These trainings are designed for new and veteran principals, assistant principals, teachers on assignment, deans of students, and others who evaluate teachers. If you are interested in being part of a future QET or Leadership cohort, please contact Recruitment and Retention Specialist, Will Ambos: [email protected]
