SUN Bucks 2026 Eligibility Screener Guide

* required field

SUN Bucks (also known as Summer-EBT) provides grocery-buying benefits to low-income families with school-aged children who lose access to free or reduced-price school meals when schools are closed for the summer.

Eligible Arizona families will receive a one-time summer benefit amount of $120 per eligible child to purchase groceries during the summer months. Use this tool to determine if your child is automatically eligible for SUN Bucks or if you need to apply.

If you wish to opt out of SUN Bucks for 2026, please visit this webpage and check the "I would like to opt out of receiving Summer EBT benefits" once you enter the student information.

Let's Get Started!

What is the SUN Bucks Eligibility Screener Guide?

Some children in Arizona will receive SUN Bucks automatically and DO NOT need to apply. The following screener can help you determine if a 2026 SUN Bucks household application is needed. Please be sure to answer the below questions for each child in your household. While some children in your household may automatically qualify for SUN Bucks, other children may only be eligible through a completed SUN Bucks application.

Completion of the SUN Bucks Eligibility Screener Guide will provide the link to the SUN Bucks household application if applicable. Please make sure to follow the link (if applicable) and submit the 2026 SUN Bucks household application by August 3, 2026.

This screener will not collect any identifying information about you or your family. It should take under 5 minutes to complete.
