Litchfield Elementary District

LESD will ensure that all students, particularly those disproportionately impacted, receive interventions through a comprehensive set of strategies for this grant, including:
Academic Interventions: After school tutoring, summer school interventions in math and reading, and math interventions during the regular school day by Math Specialists. We will use teacher training on Professional Learning Communities to identify specific areas of need for specific student populations, including low-achieving students, English learners and our students with special needs.
Parent Involvement: LESD will also be focusing on parent/family engagement through Dream Academy Parent Education classes across our district and additional programs focused on early literacy and English language development at home and in school. The Parent Education classes will be offered in English/Spanish in order to accomodate our families with English learners.
