K-12 Gifted Education Endorsement
Teachers who work with gifted learners must be provided with professional development support based on a plan outlined within a school district’s Scope and Sequence for Gifted Education. Also, teachers whose primary responsibility is teaching gifted learners must have, or be working towards earning, an Arizona Gifted Education K-12 Endorsement.

Arizona Association for Gifted & Talented (AAGT)
The Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT) hosts a variety of professional learning events for educators.
The goal of the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented is to advocate, educate, and communicate on behalf of gifted learners in the state of Arizona. AAGT holds three events each year. A state conference in February, Gifted Educator Workshop in the summer, and a Parent Institute in the fall.
At these conferences, advocates, parents, researchers, administrators, educators, and policy makers join together to understand and support the social, emotional, and academic needs of high-potential and high-ability children. These forums allow attendees to network, exchange experiences, participate in educational sessions, and learn from our keynote speakers, while providing parents and educators with the tools needed to inspire students to reach their goals.
