This survey is intended to better understand the barriers impacting K-8 arts education in Arizona.

Schools receiving this survey submitted AzEDs data indicating that arts course offerings during the 2024-2025 school year comprised fewer than the two artistic disciplines required by Arizona Administrative Code R7-2-301:

"Students shall demonstrate competency as defined by the State Board-adopted academic standards, at the grade levels specified in... The Arts, which may consist of two or more of the following: visual arts, dance, theatre, music, or media arts."
