Arizona’s 21st CCLC understands the need for a quality program to consider the whole child. This includes: ensuring student safety,  youth's voice, connecting students to community, encouraging youth leadership and exploring new interests. Our awarded grantees have written into their plan specific objectives related to Positive Youth Development. Included are resources that partners in the field have found helpful.

Arizona Center for Afterschool - Promotes high quality expanded learning opportunities to support the out-of-school time community.

Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence Quality Standards - Bridges best practices by Arizona’s out-of-school time statewide stakeholders.

Arizona Department of Education - Title IV-A - The purpose of the Title IV-A Student Support and Academic Enrichment (SSAE) grant is to improve students’ academic achievement by increasing the capacity of States, local educational agencies, schools, and local communities to provide all students with access to a well-rounded education, improve school conditions for student learning, and improve the use of technology in order to improve the academic achievement and digital literacy of all students. (ESSA Sec.4101)

What Works Clearinghouse - The What Works Clearinghouse (WWC) reviews the existing research on different programs, products, practices, and policies in education.
