Achievement Tutoring | Teachers & Local Education Agencies
Thank you for your interest in the Achievement Tutoring Program. Teachers will be contacted by their school or district with information on how to apply for tutoring positions.
The Achievement Tutoring Program will continue through the 2024-2025 school year. You will need to first assign an ATP Program Manager to the position. Your ATP Program Manager will need to complete a form and send the signed form to [email protected].
The ATP Program Manager will be responsible for ensuring teacher tutors complete their formative assessment training with Focal Point. The ATP Program Manager will also upload tutors into the ATP portal for Session Two in mid-January 2024.
LEAs may invoice for one hour of training per tutor for the required trainings.
ATP teacher tutors must have the same qualifications as a teacher of record in a classroom. All ATP tutors must be trained on the ATP formative assessment Focal Point. The ATP Program Manager will assist in setting trainings for tutors. LEAs may bill for one hour of training per tutor.
A parent may choose to have an authorized ADE ATP Tutoring Provider. If a parent selects this option, the ATP Program Manager will give the parent a list of authorized providers.
ADE is using ESSER III funds to pay for this program. It is of no cost to parents.
ATP Teacher Tutors will get $40.00/hour to tutor students and LEAs will get to invoice 30% of tutoring hours to pay for teacher tutor benefits, transportation of students, and administrative costs of the program.
LEAs will invoice a third-party payor, to be determined, to receive reimbursement for tutoring hours and administrative costs.
Tutoring sessions begin approximately every six weeks. See the tabs above for current session dates and information.
Teachers may earn a stipend of $200.00 per student per tutoring session six-week tutoring block if growth occurs in the student learning. This growth is measured through the ATP formative assessment in Focal Point. Growth must be half a year or more and may not overlap tutoring sessions. The ATP Program Manager will invoice for the stipends to the third-party payor.
All sessions are recorded in the ATP portal. You need your Entity Administrator to grant you access to ADEConnect and assign you the proper roles.
Students may reschedule a session for another time that works for the student, parent, and tutor if it is within the six-week tutoring block. If a student is a no-show for two sessions, they will be dropped from the program and may not receive tutoring until the next six-week block begins.
A student can only be tutored in one subject per six-week tutoring block. It is recommended to use the ATP formative pre-test to determine the highest area of need.
Yes. Students may attend multiple six-week tutoring blocks. Each block will focus on only one subject. If a student is a no-show for two tutoring sessions, they will be dropped from the session and may not re-enroll until the next six-week tutoring block.
