New REL Resource: Teaching Math to Young Children From T4PA Center

  • Mon, Jun 15 2020  •
    • What's New in Title IV-A?

REL Central, REL Appalachia, and REL Northwest have developed a new web-based resource that families and caregivers can use at home to support math learning for children ages 2-8.

The new resource complements and extends the What Works Clearinghouse practice guide Teaching Math to Young Children by providing resources and activities to help families and caregivers support children as they practice math skills at home. The Teaching Math to Young Children for Families and Caregivers web pages include:

  • Quick tips to support number, shape, pattern, measurement, and data analysis skills throughout the day.
  • Evidence-based activities and games with easy-to-follow directions.
  • Videos to learn more about how children develop foundational math skills and ways to support those skills.

Click here to access the Teaching Math to Young Children for Families and Caregivers web pages.

Sincerely,

The T4PA Center Team
