Public Data Sets

The Arizona Department of Education (ADE) is committed to maintaining transparency of government and providing actionable information to parents, educators, and the community. To that end, the ADE provides public datasets and reports that are available and may be immediately downloaded and utilized.  These are aggregated files that do not include student level data. The Data Governance Team collects and maintains the frequently used ADE datasets on this page. 

  • Arizona School Report Cards - reports student enrollment, teacher qualification, assessment results, graduation rates, dropout rates, A-F Letter Grades and Civil Rights Data Collection Reporting by school, by LEA, and for the state of Arizona.

  •  
  • Accountability & Research Data - includes excel files of assessment results, graduation rates, dropout rates, student enrollment, and some historical data at aggregate assessment data at the school, LEA, county, and state-level as applicable

  • Educator Search - provides a list of Arizona educators meeting chosen criteria.

Empowerment Scholarship Account (ESA) data. ADE publishes a quarterly report that includes:

  • Participating student counts by eligibility category, grade level, and associated School District or Charter School
  • Student counts by award range
  • Application counts by status and denied application counts
  • Application processing time and incomplete application counts
  • Parent feedback and responses
  • Private Financial Management Firm accounts, providers/vendors, communications/trainings, parent concerns and responses, and other requests

  • Under the “Enrollment” tab on the Accountability & Research Data site you can find student enrollment counts at the school, district/charter holder, County, and State level. We include breakdowns by grade and subgroups.

  • Exceptional Student Services Data - includes historical and trend data on special education student population based on the October 1 Federal Special Education Child Count

  • The Health and Nutrition Services team publishes an annual report on the percentage of students receiving Free and Reduced-Price Lunch on ADE's website here: https://www.azed.gov/hns/frp/.
  • It includes claim data for the month of October as part of the National School Lunch Program.

  • Information about how to request High School Equivalency/GED transcripts is available here: https://www.azed.gov/adultedservices/hse-transcript-request.
  • If you are a third party looking to verify an individual’s High School Equivalency Diploma/GED, you can find more information here: https://www.azed.gov/adultedservices/verification-high-school-equivalency-hse-diploma.

  • School Finance data which includes Classroom Site Fund and Instructional Improvement Fund Reports, the Superintendent’s Annual Finance Reports (SAFR), SAFR digital data set, and School District Employee Reports (SDER). Those reports or links to where they can be accessed are available here: https://www.azed.gov/finance/reports/.

  • The Arizona School Report Cards website (https://azreportcards.azed.gov/) provides information about schools, such as:

- school characteristics (academic offerings, sports, music / arts, after school opportunities/clubs, etc.),

- student enrollment,

-teacher experience/credentials,

-State assessment results,

-graduation/dropout rates (if applicable),

-school finance data,

-State accountability letter grades, and

-Civil Rights Data Collection reporting.
