Arizona's Military Community
A military-connected student is defined as a student with a parent who is a member of the Armed Forces on active duty, including National Guard and Reserve forces. It can be a child with both parents serving. It can be a child of a recently, honorably discharged service-member. It can be a child of a servicemember recently killed in action.
Arizona is home to roughly 8,000 school-aged, military-connected children who are shaped by the military's influence on their lives. Arizona's educators must understand military life in Arizona and how our educational systems can help.

Arizona has five military bases: Luke Air Force Base, Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Fort Huachuca Army Installation, Marine Corps Air Station—Yuma, Army Proving Grounds, and Papago Military Installation. Arizona has National Guard and Reserve units and numerous recruiting centers like all states.
