Educator Preparation Programs (EPP)
Our Arizona schools need dedicated, passionate, and highly effective educators to inspire our PreK-12th grade students. There are many options for certification. Please take a moment to review these options and requirements to ensure you are following the path that is best for you.
- Institution: Name of educator preparation program provider.
- Content: This refers to content area and grade level which will be taught by the educator.
- Certification Type: This refers to the type of certificate that would be issued by the Department of Education based on the content area.
- Program Type:
- Traditional: This program would require admission to university/college as a bachelor's degree, post-bac, or master's candidate.
- Alternative: This program would require a bachelor's degree, Alternative Teaching certificate, and any other program enrollment requirements.
- Classroom-Based: This program would require a bachelor's degree, Alternative Teaching certificate, and any other program enrollment requirements. This is an "Alternative" certification pathway offered directly by school districts/charters.
