AZTRAP Educator Prep Program

The Educator Prep Program (EPP) plays a crucial role in AZTRAP, providing apprentices with academic coursework that meets the needs of a future certified Arizona teacher. Being a registered apprenticeship, AZTRAP allows colleges and universities the opportunity to provide coursework free of cost to apprentices.

What does the EPP provide?

  • Provide Coursework: Provide coursework that meets the requirements of a future certified teacher and accommodates a full-time employee.
  • Support Learning: Provide academic advising, tutoring, and other services to ensure a successful educational experience for the apprentice.
  • Monitor Program Progress: Provide tracking and monitoring of all apprentices in the program.
  • Collaborate with Local Education Agency: Work with LEA to identify Post-Bac and Pre-Bac candidates that can enter the program.

Benefits for EPP

  • New Network of Enrollment: AZTRAP provides access to funding that can expand the student enrollment network for the EPP.
  • New Partnerships: Collaboration with Local Education Agencies allows the opportunity for EPPs to build their partnerships in the community.
