Pursuant to A.R.S. § 15-185(B)(2), the student count of a charter school shall be determined initially by using an "estimated count" based on the actual registration of pupils before the beginning of the school year. 

The Charter Estimated Counts application will open for data submission on 05/31/2024. The deadline to submit Charter Estimated Counts is 07/1/2024. 

  • Charters can be paid based on Charter Estimated Counts for the first two payments of the year.
  • Payment 3 will be based on FY2025 AzEDS ADM data.
  • Charter Estimated Counts cannot be revised after the 7/1/2024 deadline.

Fiscal Year 2025 Instructional Calendars and Optional 200-Day Calendars

As mandated by A.R.S. § 15-1042(B), all Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are required to submit data electronically to receive funding. As part of this process, LEAs must create an instructional calendar for each school site. The Superintendent or authorized representative must certify that each calendar has met the minimum instructional time requirements defined in A.R.S. § 15-901. LEAs must enter the instructional calendars in student information systems (SIS) for submission to AzEDS. AzEDS will be available for FY 2025 instructional calendars and student data transactions beginning on 6/1/2024.

If the instructional calendar deadline has not been met, the initial release of state aid will be delayed.

FY2024 Vehicle Inventory is Open and Ready for Submissions

The window for districts to submit transportation Vehicle Inventory data is open until July 15, 2024.
The FY2025 calculation of TSL is dependent on Vehicle Inventory data. Reports will generate at https://schoolfinancereports.azed.gov/ after data has been entered and saved. Failure to enter and save both Route and Inventory data may cause unexpected funding changes. Charters are not required to submit transportation data.

Data capture for the March 21st payment is 02/15/24 at 5 pm. 

Reminder: Payment 9 will be based on data captured that is passing integrity and generating ADM in AzEDS. Actual data in AzEDS will be used to calculate ADM for Payment 9.

Please ensure data is reconciled and free of integrity errors prior to the data capture date. Review the following reports in AzEDS: 

  • INTEG15 – ensure data is free and clear of membership ADM Integrity errors 
  • STUD10 – validate all students are listed in AzEDS 
  • ADM15 – ensure all students expected to generate funding are indicated as fundable 
  • ADM20, SPED20, and EL20 – ensure ADM amounts for each ADM type  

Important Note: FY24 Calendars need to be submitted, approved, and certified for ADM and funding to be generated.

SDER Application Open

SDER Application Open

The School District Employee Report (SDER) On-Line Application is now open to accept employee data revisions. You can access this application through ADE Connect.

If there are any revisions that need to be made to your SDER data, you can log in to ADEConnect SDER Application. The deadline to submit final revisions is March 1, 2024, by the end of the day.

It is important to note that if a district's data is not submitted and error-free, it will not be included in the TEI calculation. Final TEI reports will be available on or before March 15, 2024.

Districts (not charters) must submit transportation route data within 12 days of their 100th day (or 200th day where applicable) per A.R.S. § 15-922.  

Users must submit district transportation data through the ADEConnect application. Users who submit transportation data must be assigned the “TransportationInventory – LEA User” role in ADEConnect to access the new Transportation application. Entity Administrators can add this role to users in ADEConnect. Please get in touch with your Entity Administrator if you need assistance with role assignment.

New FRPL Reports and Integrity Rules

New FRPL Reports and Integrity Rules

New AzEDS Reports and Integrity Errors for Free and Reduced-Price Lunch (FRPL).

The new FRPL AzEDS Reports provide a summary of Average Daily Membership (ADM) determined by Income Eligibility needs and/or an Alternative method using Health and Nutrition Data with regular ADM. Report data is post-integrity and includes limiting.

  • FRPL20 - Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Summary ADM Report
  • FRPL30 - Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Site Summary ADM Report

New Integrity Rules 70XXX are based on one of two criteria: Income Eligibility Needs or an alternative process for schools that are part of ADE’s Health and Nutrition Services programs (CEP). Review the INTEG15 report to view any 70XXX errors.

New Integrity Rules on Income Eligibility 1 and 2 needs:

  • Need Entry Date must be within a membership
  • Need Exit Date must not extend beyond the membership
  • Need Entry Date must be before the Need Exit Date
  • Identical Needs may not be concurrent at the same school
