English Learner (EL) Coordinator Boot Camp

The New EL Coordinator Boot Camp training provides new EL Coordinators with vital information regarding Federal and State requirements to ensure they have a solid foundation for EL Program implementation and the details necessary to manage their EL programs and ensure compliance.  

 

2026-2027 EL Coordinator Boot Camp Series

The series for the 2026-2027 school year will be a four-part series. To support new EL Coordinators throughout the school year, each of the scheduled four sessions will build upon the previous session. OELAS will provide a single registration in APLD that will provide the registrant with access to the three virtual sessions, the in-person session, and all printed materials/resources. The meeting recordings will be shared only with registered attendees to view later and not posted to the website. 

 

Target Audience: New EL Program Coordinators with less than three years of experience, District and Site Administrators new to the role of supporting EL Coordinators and their EL Program(s)

Session 1, Virtual (Zoom): Wednesday, July 15, 2026

TIME: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

LOCATION: Zoom - The meeting link will be emailed at least two days prior to the session.

Session 2, In-Person (Phoenix): Friday, September 4, 2026

TIME: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

LOCATION:  Arizona Department of Education Building  |  Phoenix, Arizona

• Breakfast will be provided. 
• This was intentionally scheduled after the September PELL Meeting (9/3). We intended to provide the New EL Coordinators the opportunity to register to attend the PELL Meeting and then the Boot Camp Session the next day. (The PELL Meeting is a separate event with a different registration.)

MATERIALS: A binder of materials will be provided on-site upon check-in.
