A FREE, SELF-PACED, ONLINE TRANSITION COURSE

Interested in secondary transition planning for students with disabilities? The ADE/ESS Secondary Transition Team offers Secondary Transition 101, a free, self-paced online course. It covers essential topics and resources, focusing on IDEA Indicator 13 and best practices for transition planning for students with disabilities. This course is designed to fit into busy schedules and aims to enhance collaboration with community resources, supporting an effective transition planning process.

When can I register?

  • Registration is currently open.
  • Registration will remain open throughout the school year.

How do I register?

  • Registration must be completed in the Arizona Professional Learning and Development (APLD) application.
  • Please reference the APLD Learner Guide for detailed steps to create an account and register for a course.  
  • Once logged in to APLD, select "Register for Course" from the menu on the left of the screen. You can then narrow down the course options by searching “Secondary Transition 101” in the “Find Course” field in the top right-hand corner of the page.
  • Once you have clicked on the green "Register" button, please click on "Proceed to Checkout" to complete the registration process. Please note that this course is free.  

When can I start the course?

  • The course is currently open for registration.

When does the course end?

  • The course will be ongoing and offered year-round. 

What can I expect from the course?
